Biblical Hebrew I

BHI is the first part of a two (2) semester—year long—course in Biblical Hebrew. It covers beginning to intermediate Hebrew via the following content:

1. Hebrew orthography and phonology; 

2. Basic morphology and syntax; 

3. A detailed study of the Qal verb; 

4. A detailed study of the derived stems; and, 

5. The Masoretic text; a detailed study of syntax, and poetry. 

Included in (e) are intermediate issues such as the Hebrew cantillation system; text syntax; literary structure; discourse markers; poetry; textual criticism; and, lexicography.
