About Christ Seminary Concordia—TT

Christ Seminary Concordia—TT (CSCTT), in Princes Town, provides an education rooted in the Biblical, apostolic teaching of the Church. Our strict adherence to Biblical, apostolic Christian teaching does not make it possible for us to offer pastoral education to females. Therefore, only males will be admitted to study for the Diploma in Theology (DTh) program. Additionally, CSCTT offers a Certificate of Evangelism Training (CET) program for males and females to be installed for diaconal service in the Church.

In its focus on the Biblical, apostolic instead of denominational teaching, CSCTT is the only seminary of its type. Thus, CSCTT does not limit enrollment to students from any particular denomination or geographical region. Regionally, other conditions being equal, however, preference is given to students from Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean.

While in today's world, a secular university/college degree is highly desirable, CSCTT admits students who have an incomplete higher education, high school certificates, or none at all. Such students are given a trial period during which they must demonstrate an ability to succeed in their academic studies at the seminary. The duration of such a period is normally one semester. Furthermore, admission to the seminary is based on an interview and an entrance exam. Also requisite is the blessing and written recommendation of the pastor or bishop of the prospective candidate's church.

Upon a student's completion of the first preparatory year of training, the leadership of the seminary decides whether that student will be promoted to the second year. So, the admission process is only fully completed one year after the initial enrollment and registration.

This is CSCTT's initial year, and we expect to matriculate one class every three years, largely because of a current lack of sufficient full-time professors at the seminary. In the future, however, the plan is to move toward having a new class every year.
